Abstract
An experiment, RENO (Reactor Experiment for Neutrino Oscillation) is under construction
to measure one of three neutrino토토 안전 사이트mixing angle (theta_13)토토 안전 사이트which has not yet토토 안전 사이트measured,
using토토 안전 사이트anti-neutrinos emitted from the YongGwang nuclear토토 안전 사이트reactors in Korea.토토 안전 사이트It is in토토 안전 사이트a
strong competition with Double CHOOZ in France, and Daya Bay in China to obtain토토 안전 사이트the
result on the mixing angle. A measurement or stringent limit on theta_13 would be crucial
as part of a long term program to measure the CP violation parameter using accelerators.
A sufficient value of theta_13 measured in this reactor neutrino experiment would strongly
motivate the investment토토 안전 사이트required토토 안전 사이트for a new토토 안전 사이트round of accelerator토토 안전 사이트neutrino experiments.
In this talk, the current status of RENO construction and experimental methods will be
described.
