Abstract
  
Time-resolved laser spectroscopy and established x-ray methods have recently been
combined to probe the local electronic하이 로우 토토 사이트and하이 로우 토토 사이트molecular하이 로우 토토 사이트structure하이 로우 토토 사이트with하이 로우 토토 사이트femtosecond
x-ray pulses in time and energy. In the하이 로우 토토 사이트soft x-ray하이 로우 토토 사이트range,하이 로우 토토 사이트core-level하이 로우 토토 사이트transition하이 로우 토토 사이트are
particularly sensitive to valence-charge distributions and to chemical coordination of
and structure around하이 로우 토토 사이트lighter하이 로우 토토 사이트elements (C, N, O etc.)하이 로우 토토 사이트that하이 로우 토토 사이트are하이 로우 토토 사이트biologically하이 로우 토토 사이트relevant,
holding tremendous potential for following chemical bonding and the formation of new
molecular species in real time. This is particularly powerful for understanding molecular
dynamics in solution, where important chemistry occurs. We study the하이 로우 토토 사이트ultrafast하이 로우 토토 사이트spin
cross-over하이 로우 토토 사이트reaction하이 로우 토토 사이트in하이 로우 토토 사이트a하이 로우 토토 사이트solvated하이 로우 토토 사이트iron(II)하이 로우 토토 사이트complex하이 로우 토토 사이트by하이 로우 토토 사이트femtosecond하이 로우 토토 사이트soft x-ray
spectroscopy of the iron L-edges. Our recent하이 로우 토토 사이트results하이 로우 토토 사이트in하이 로우 토토 사이트combination하이 로우 토토 사이트with하이 로우 토토 사이트charge
transfer multiplet calculations reveal a wealth of information on하이 로우 토토 사이트the하이 로우 토토 사이트changes하이 로우 토토 사이트of하이 로우 토토 사이트the
electronic valence charge distributions, including하이 로우 토토 사이트changes하이 로우 토토 사이트in하이 로우 토토 사이트ligand-field하이 로우 토토 사이트splitting,
orbital delocalization and population, and the influence of ligand π-backbonding on
ultrafast timescales.
